Event Details:

CERT training covers important basic skills that are valuable to know in a disaster when emergency services are not available. With training and practice, and by working as a team, you will be able to protect yourself and maximize your capability to help for the greatest number of people during and after a disaster. Participants will learn about:

 

• Disaster Preparedness

• Team Organization

• Disaster Medical Operations

• Psychological First Aid

• Fire Safety and Utility Controls

• Light Search and Rescue

• Terrorism / Active Killer Events

 

Training times & location:

College of Public Affairs & Community Service Building, Room # 132D, Omaha NE

Wednesday, July 9 & Thursday, July 10   8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Friday, July 11  8:00 a.m. to 12 p.m.
